Q. Can I submit articles for the ACVO E-Bulletin and what is the deadline?
A. It is FREE to advertise in the E-bulletin and the deadline is every Thursday afternoon at 4pm. The ACVO E-bulletin contains details of the latest local and national news, consultations, funding opportunities, events and jobs. . It is currently sent to over 2,000 subscribers in Grampian. If you wish to discuss any matters regarding the E-bulletin, please contact our Communications Support Officer.
Q. Can ACVO develop a website for me?
A. ACVO's Communications Support Project offers web packages to third/voluntary organisations (prices vary). You can choose from having some simple webpages to having your own dedicated website with your own domain name.

- Why was the ACVO Communications Project set up?
ACVO launched the Communications Support Project on the 2nd August 2004, the aim of which to bring together a range of specific networks and organisations within the public and voluntary sectors, to facilitate effective communication and consultation with service users, carers and Service providers. It harnesses and utilise a range of existing networks which operate in the health, social care and housing arena, as well as co-ordinate the events these networks organise. Key initiatives inform the work carried out by the project and its staff.
ACVO have employed Michelle Duff as Communications Support Officer and David Young, Assistant Development Officer to take forward this work, in conjunction with other ACVO staff as appropriate. Their role will be to promote a co-ordinated approach to community consultation and communication. To set up a system or framework which will help planners to reach a significant number of recipients of services of services, as well as potential recipients, carers and voluntary and independent organisations. To carry out an audit of information and consultation mechanisms within the health and social care sector.
The Project involves, to name but a few; - regular dissemination of information, weekly e-bulletins, an online Events Diary and webpages to voluntary organisations in the City.
The E-Bulletin is sent out every Friday and contains a wealth of information including local and national news, funding opportunities, events and job and volunteering opportunities.
