The Aberdeen Joint Future Carers’ Group is a multi agency/carer task group, whose responsibilities includes preparing the Carers Section for the Joint Community Care Plan and administering the Carers Strategy Budget. They felt it was essential that Carers were given an opportunity to respond to the proposals in Aberdeen City Council’s Transformation Strategy (Adult & Children). They organised an event called “A Strategy for Transforming Adult Services - Health and Care for 2007 - 2010” in December 2007. The ‘Have Your Say 2’ event in March 2008 was a follow up to the ‘Have Your Say’ event held in December 2007. The main theme was ‘what do services look like now and how should they look in the future’. The ‘Have Your Say 2’ event was to explore these themes and from that to influence the content of Aberdeen City’s Carers Strategy. Please click on the links below to access the reports:
