Scottish Government Consultation on Rights of Children and Young People Bill
Presentation and Workshop by Together
ACSN has invited 'Together' to host a workshop about the Scottish Government's Rights of Children and Young People Bill which is to be brought forward in 2012.
Together will:
- use the workshops to gather the views of voluntary organisations
- incorporate the views into their consultation response
- help voluntary organisations to submit their own independent response.
Background Information:
On September 7th, the Scottish Government took a significant step towards enshrining children's rights into law by publishing proposals to create a duty on Ministers to give due regard to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) when carrying out their functions.
Learn more about how all Scottish Government policy and legislation will take account of the rights of children and young people. The consultation document can be accessed on:http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2011/09/07110058/0
This is vital workshop for all practitioners working with children and young people.
