Voluntary Sector Training Network (VSTN)

The Voluntary Sector Training Network brings together Voluntary Sector organisations and individuals with a stake in training of the Social Care workforce.

VSTN meets four times a year, usually in Aberdeen and membership is open to voluntary sector organisations  in the field and to interested individuals.

The Network contributes to the national and local perspective by its membership of the Voluntary Sector Socialcare Workforce Unit (VSSWU) and the Workforce Development Network as well as contributing to the work of the Learning Network North.  It provides a platform for members to shape the future provision of workforce development.

The VSTN also promotes and hosts training for trainers in Food Safety.

As well as its face-to-face meetings, the Network also provides an online discussion forum which allows registered users to share knowledge and seek answers to any queries they might have on topics relating to training of the social care workforce.
