Welcome to Inclusion Aberdeen!
Who We Are:
We are a group of individuals who recognise the importance of 'Getting it Right' for the Children and Young People of Aberdeen. Inclusion can benefit all children, not just those who are experiencing difficulties. We recognise that every human being is unique and has different abilities, characteristics, interests and needs.
Our Purpose:
-
To inform about inclusion
-
To discourage marginalisation
-
To influence policy and practice
-
To encourage reflective practice
-
To clarify what 'inclusion' means
-
To encourage a change of attitude
-
To lobby for training, resources and information
-
To encourage availability of choice for children and young people
-
To be a voice for children, young people, parents, families and carers
Our Vision:
-
That all children are valued
-
To make a difference for children
-
To ensure that no child feels excluded
-
That all children, young people and families are supported
-
That individuality is celebrated
-
A curriculum is flexible and based upon the needs of the child
Are all Children and Young People included?
We all want to make sure they are!
