Blue Badge
The Blue Badge Scheme of parking concessions is designed to allow people who have great difficulty walking to park close to shops, public buildings, stations and numerous other places, and to park in spaces that would otherwise be barred by parking restrictions. You can apply for a Badge if you are either the driver or a passenger (who is at least 2 years old), and your disability affects your capacity to walk any distance. If you are receiving the Higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or are registered blind you would qualify.
