Development Officer Additional Support for Learning Transitional Planning
School to Post School Attached to the More Choices More Chances Section of the Scottish Government's Life Long Learning Division
The Value to Young People of Joint Working between the Voluntary Sector and Schools within the Additional Support for Learning (Scotland) Act
The session will focus on
- A brief contextualisation of the Additional Support for Learning including Curriculum for Excellence, More Choices More Chances and Co-ordinated Support Plans
- Local and national examples of joint working with the education and the voluntary sectors
- Practice sharing café
- How to integrate the skills of the voluntary and education sectors in multi-disciplinary working
- Improving the transitional planning for children and young people who have Additional Support Needs, prior to leaving the secondary phase of their schooling
The meeting will enable you to network with the local authority staff, guidance teachers, social workers and voluntary sector partners.
