| Funding Description |
Crisis, the national Homeless Charity has announced that the Changing Lives Programme is currently open to applications. The Crisis programme provides financial awards of up to £3,000 to single people who are homeless or settling into a home and looking for support so that they may achieve their vocational goals. There are three possible grants: the Education Grant; the Self Employment grant; and the Into Employment grant. Applicants must be; single (not living in a partnership situation with another person); over 18; Recently homeless (e.g. slept rough, lived in a hostel/refuge, ‘sofa surfed’ etc.in the last 5 years) free from alcohol, drug or other substance misuse for at least 6 months prior to application; working with a Support Worker for at least 6 months prior to the application; and eligible to remain and work in the UK indefinitely. All grants are transferred to local support organisations which administer and control the grant on behalf of their client. Applications are accepted throughout the year apart from during the summer period (mid July to mid September). |
