| Funding Description |
Through the awards, BT is looking for the most dedicated young internet teachers as well as schools who make special efforts to help bridge the digital divide between generations in their communities. The BT Internet Rangers Student Awards scheme is looking for young people in the UK aged up to 16 years old, who have taught an older person or group basic computer and internet skills. Through the Internet Rangers School Awards BT will recognise the best school or group of schools that has helped older people make the most of the internet. Through the Student Awards four national winners will each receive £100 worth of IT vouchers and an Ipad. And one overall winner will receive an additional £100 of vouchers. Through the Schools Award, the winning school will receive a cash prize £4,000 and two runner-up schools will each receive a cash prize of £2,500. |
