The BBC Performing Arts Fund has announced that it will be launching the Young People's Musical Theatre scheme on the 27th September 2010. This is a new scheme that will award £200,000 in grants aimed at encouraging young people to take part in musical theatre. The scheme will be open to any non-profit theatre group who have a youth section or are made up of members under 25. The group should regularly put on musical theatre productions or wish to try out a musical for the first time. The group can apply for grants for training and development and in particular for projects that encourage new members and/or new audiences. |
