NHS Grampian Carers’ Information Strategy Group is now inviting bids for funding from voluntary organisations, statutory organisations, support groups etc across the Grampian area. We welcome all bids, large or small. In the past we have awarded funding ranging from £500 to £20,000. We are keen to support work that directly benefits unpaid carers and are interested in projects or events that will help to: Identify (or explore how we can better identify) unpaid carers. involve (or encourage involvement of) carers as key partners in looking after the person they care for. provide information for carers, especially in relation to their caring role. provide information on carer assessment. provide training that helps carers in their caring role (specifically carers with intensive or growing carer responsibilities). signpost carers to sources of support. NHS Grampian’s priorities currently include the following areas. Bids which target these communities/groups will be particularly welcome. Young carers Black and minority ethnic communities Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender people Deprived/disadvantaged communities Carers of people with mental health problems Carers of people who have a drug or alcohol problem Carers from remote and/or rural areas If you have a project or event that would make a difference to unpaid carers, or would like more information then please do get in touch. |
