| Funding Description |
Landscape Partnerships (LP) is our grant programme which is normally delivered by a partnership made up of regional, national and local organisations with an interest in the area, community groups and members of the community. The programme is based round a portfolio of smaller projects, which together provide long-term social, economic and environmental benefits for rural area. To apply for a grant, you must identify an area of countryside that has a distinctive landscape character and is recognised and valued by local people. The area of countryside should be no smaller than 20 km2 and no larger than 200 km2. Programme priorities Successful schemes must be focused in an area of distinctive landscape character, be primarily for public benefit, not private gain, and deliver evenly across all of the following four programme outcomes: Conserving or restoring the built and natural features that create the historic landscape character. Increasing community participation in local heritage. Increasing access to and learning about the landscape area and its heritage. Increasing training opportunities in local heritage skills. |
