CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CASE STUDIES

It is proposed that third sector and private sector organisations are offered the opportunity to post case-studies of CSR initiatives on this webpage.

The aims of this would be to:

 Give profile to CSR initiatives to the benefit of both private and third sector partners

 Increase understanding of CSR in action amongst both sectors and in particular the initiatives that are possible within this specific region

 Encourage such initiatives

 Identify the steps that need to be taken to for mutually beneficial partnerships

While the web page would refer to general principles of CSR, it is felt that this information is available elsewhere and links would be provided to appropriate sites eg Scottish Business in the Community.

There can be issues when an organisation assumes that "it worked for them so it can work for us" when in fact a case study is not replicable. Warning of this would be included on the web page . A proforma would be provided to organisations intending to submit case studies to ensure that there was clarity on "why it worked for us" as well as practical issues such as permissions from both parties for the case study to be published etc. We would seek to refresh case studies on a regular basis
